Glen Eugene Jackson, 85, of Pleasanton, Kansas died December 1, 2010 at Overland Park Regional Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas. He was born March 17, 1925 at Trading Post, Kansas, the son of Charles and Ida Bell Wisdom Jackson. He married Lillie May Wurtz on May 15, 1946 at Girard, Kansas. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Johnny, Raymond and Homer and three sisters, Mary Ellen, Goldie and Rosie. Survivors include his wife, Lillie of the home; one son, Larry Jackson of Trading Post, Kansas; four daughters, Carolyn Butler of Fort Scott, Kansas, Glenna Bell of Bonner Springs, Kansas, Janet Tiffen of Visalia, California and Sandy Lash of Pleasanton, Kansas; one brother, Dean Jackson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Nancy Culbertson of Osawatomie, Kansas; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, Decemer 4, 2010 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time at the chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans or Children's Mercy Hospital.
