George Albert Swineford III, beloved father and grandfather, died peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 25, 2009. He was born on Aug 29, 1928 in Canton, OH, the son of George Albert Swineford II and Tattie VanNostrom Swineford. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1946. Later that same year he joined the Army and served his country for three years. George married Donna Lou Butts on Aug 4, 1950. The couple moved to Deerfield Beach, FL in 1957 where George worked as a superintendent in construction for Stinson Construction Company for over 20 years. George & Donna moved to Okeechobee, FL and resided there until Donna passed away in 2005. Shortly after the death of his beloved wife, he moved to Pleasanton, KS and resided there with his daughter Jody until his death. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Donna. He is survived by his daughters: Diane Redding, Fort Scott KS, Cheri and Adrian Romero of Jacksonville FL, and Jody S. Swineford of the home, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 29,2009 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton KS. Visitation will follow the service. Contributions are suggested to the Shriners Children's Hospital. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden North at Pompano Beach, FL.
