Gary Lee Knoche, age 65, LaCygne, Kansas died Sunday August 15, 2010 at his home near LaCygne. He was born May 28, 1945 at the home of Buford and Lou Young near Stanley, Kansas the son of George and Helen Mallicoat Knoche. Gary graduated from Stanley High School. He served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Patricia Ann Keyes on May 2, 1992 at LaCygne. Gary worked for Kansas City Power and Light retiring as a Maintenance Foreman after thirty-five years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving best friend and wife, Patricia Ann, five children: Angela Holland (Mike), Troy Knoche, Dustin Knoche(Elaine - who promised that if one is in the "basket" and it is a girl, we will call her Cherie), Joshua Bledsoe and Jenna Bledsoe. Gary also leaves behind his siblings: brothers Melvin Knoche(Marcia), Don Knoche (Janet) and his model sister Susan Ray (John). Gary also leaves behind four grandchildren, Clint, Madison, Clayton and William Holland. Graveside funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday August 18, 2010 at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in LaCygne, Kansas. The family suggests contributions to Shriner's Childrens Hospital in honor of Clayton Holland, Stanley Lodge #444 or the Salvation Army for homeless veterans.
