Gary Eckland

Gary Richard Eckland, age 67, of Mound City, Kansas passed away on May 10, 2012 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on June 6, 1944 to Everett and Evelyn Nichols Eckland at St. Paul, Minnesota. He married Kathy Cullen on October 26, 1968 at Watertown, South Dakota. Gary worked as a Vice President of Purchasing for Abrasive Engineering and Manufacturing. He was a member of the Sugar Valley Lakes Senior Men's Golf Association. Gary was preceded in death by his parents. Gary is survived by his wife Kathy, of the home, two sons, Chris Eckland and Tiffany of Overland Park, KS, Scott Eckland and Laura of Kansas City, MO; daughter,Nikki Cannezzaro and Chris of Overland Park, KS; and 5 grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday May 15, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mound City, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7 PM Monday May 14, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory Mound City Chapel. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mound City, Kansas.
