Gary Carpenter

Gary E. Carpenter age 67 of LaCygne, Kansas died Saturday December 23, 2006 at St Luke's Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born in LaCygne, Kansas on July 10, 1939 the son of Chester and Ruby Phalen Carpenter. He graduated from Pleasanton High School and was a retired autoworker for Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the United Auto Worker Local #249. He married Ruth Hodges on December 17, 1984 at Miami, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby, a daughter Sonya Carpenter, a sister Thelma Gail Carpenter, and a son Kennth Ray Summers. He is survived by his wife Ruth of the home, his father Chester children Gary Wayne Carpenter and Bruce Randall Carpenter both of Missouri City, Missouri, Ryan Carpenter-Hill of Butler, Missouri , Sherry Renne Parsons of Richmond, Missouri, Fred Summers of Eldon, Missouri, Patrickk Summers of LaCygne, VaLinda J. Jones of Warsaw, Missouri and Dora Elaine Cherry and numerous grand and great grandchildren. Mr Carpenter has been cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements: Coffel-Schneider, LaCygne, Kansas.
