Franklin Crowder

Frank Crowder, age 80, of Pleasanton, Kansas passed away July 15, 2016 at the Mercy Hospital in Fort Scott, Kansas. He was born on May 17, 1936 the son of Leonard and Helen Drake Crowder in Deepwater, Missouri. Frank was a hard working man all of his life. Throughout his life he enjoyed going to auctions, Frank was also a jack of all trades, from chopping wood, to growing vegetables for Food Growers and spent most of his life in the recycling trade. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, a son, David Sweat, two sisters, Barbara and Mae and two brothers Ben and Gene. He is survived by five sons, Brandon, Bobby, Frank, Willy Crowder, and Scott Darnell, six daughters, Rebecca Crowder, Melinda Crowder, Jennifer Peterson, Helen Robinson, Sherrie Atkins and Patty Dennison, three brothers, Clifford Crowder, Herbie Crowder and Buck Crowder and four sisters, Opal, LaVerna, Jewell and Connie, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and special friend, Rebecca Darnell. Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, July 20 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel, with burial following the service at the Trading Post Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggest contributions to the Frank Crowder Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home to: Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory P.O. Box 525 Pleasanton, KS 66075.
