Forrest Lee "Frosty" McGraw, age 71, of Mound City, Kansas died Saturday February 14, 2009 at Mercy Health Center in Fort Scott, Kansas. He was born on October 18, 1937 at Harrisonville, Missouri the son of Roy Lilburn and Janet Ruth Smith McGraw. He married Nylene Mattingley on December 6, 1980 at Harrisonville. Frosty worked as a union and carpenter and mill wright. He was a member of the Mill Wright Union Local #1529, Harrisonville Masonic Lodge and the Ararat Shrine. Frosty enjoyed working with wood. However, his favorite past time was fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew Scott Powell. He is survived by his wife Nylene and daughter Anna Elizabeth McGraw, both of the home, two sons, Christopher McGraw of Garden City, Missouri and Tony McGraw of McClouth, Kansas, a daughter Brenda McGraw of Liberty, Missouri, a step son Jake Mattingley of Pleasanton, Kansas, one sister Lois Powell of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, four grand children, Michael, Marshell, Lauren and Logen, and two great grandchildren Bryce and Emilee. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday February 17, 2009 at the Federated Church in Mound City, Kansas. Burial will be in the Linnville Cemetery. Frosty will lie in state from 1 PM to 7 PM Monday at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Mound City, Kansas.
