Faith Junia Kibble-Smith-Randall, age 96, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Prescott Country View Nursing Home, Prescott, Kansas. She was born June 28, 1915 on a farm near Redfield, Kansas, the daughter of Algernon Aurther and Myrtle Eunice May Kibble. She attended school in Bourbon County. On September 29, 1933 she married Richard Dwight Smith in the Redfield Methodist Church where she was a member. They lived in the Redfield area in a farm home and attended church while living there. In 1935 they moved to a farm in Moran. They came to Linn County in 1937 and in 1943 they purchased what was known as the Dr. Plumb farm near Mound City. To this union five children were born. Faith was a homemaker who loved flowers. She was also a good mother and farm wife who helped her husband on the farm. She was a member of the Busy Dozen Club. On May 5, 1963, her husband and one son, Leonard were killed in an automobile accident. She was preceded in death also by three brothers and their wives; Verdette Kibble & wife, Etta; Lavern Kibble & wife, Irene, and Donald Kibble & wife, Beulah; two sisters and their husbands, Ruth Post & husband, Lawrence and Velma Bradley & husband, Ben. On February 20, 1965, Faith married Glenn D. Randall in Baxter Springs, Kansas by Reverend Lamb. Glenn moved to Mound City and they jointly purchased the Irwin Hardware, and renamed it The Randall Hardware, which they ran for many years. They went on several enjoyable trips with the Hardware Association and after retirement Bus Trips. They attended the Wall Street Christian Church where Faith is a member. Survivors include her husband, Glenn of Pleasanton, Kansas; four children; Wilbur and Verla Smith of Pleasanton, Kansas, Bob and Coleta Wurtz of Spring Hill, Florida, Roger Dean and Joanne Smith of Hernando, Florida and Connor and Gloria Smith of Farmington, Minnesota; nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, John and Jean Jackson of Fort Scott, Rosalie Banta, of Wichita, Kansas and Sue Garrison of San Antonio, Texas; one brother-in-law, Delbert Smith of Neosho, Kansas; two step-daughters, Marjorie and Darrell Nation, Mound City, Kansas and Barry and Linda Goldberg of Bayfield, Colorado; five step-grandchildren and fourteen step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a great number of friends in the community. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Pleasanton, Kansas. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM, Sunday at the Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Wall Street Church, Mound City. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
