Eva Nadine Jeffers, age 75, of Centerville, Kansas, died Monday, June 25, 2007 at St. Luke's Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri. She was born January 1, 1932 in Xenia, Kansas, to Thomas and Myra Johnson. She graduated from Bronson High School in 1949 and married George W. Jeffers on September 22, 1950 in Fort Scott, Kansas. She attended the Central Business College, Kansas City, Kansas and also Kansas State University from 1953 to 1958. The family moved from Kansas to California in 1958. Returning to Centerville, Kansas in 1988 she became active in local Farmer's Markets and enjoyed hobbies of quilting and gardening. Nadine was preceded in death buy her parents and two sisters, Shirley Fulk and Mary Allen Survivors include her husband, George W. Jeffers of Centerville, children; Karen & Rick Manning of Westminister, California; Gale and Ramona Jeffers of Bronson, Kansas; Bruce Jeffers of Centerville, Kansas; Kathy & Dennis Brown of Yorba Linda, California; Keith & Liz Jeffers of Fort Scott, Kansas; Sisters, Ruth & Don Farmer of Hugoton, Kansas; Pauline LaRue of Kingman, Arizona; Virginia Hartman of San Clemente, California; Louise & Tom Lacy of Washington; and brothers, Jack Johnson of Moran, Kansas; Thomas & Margaret Johnson of Bronson, Kansas; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several cousins , nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, June 30, at 10 A.M. at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in Mound City, Kansas. The visitation will be Friday June 29, 2007 from 7-8 P.M. at the Chapel. Contributions are suggested to the Kansas Masonic Foundation C-Club.
