Eunice Elliott, age 73, Mound City, Kansas passed away Thursday October 6, 2011 at her home in Mound City. She was born February 28, 1938 at Perry, Kansas the daughter of Carl "Spud" and Mildred Eloise Cowan Michael. She worked as an LPN at Holiday Manor, Sugar Valley Nursing Home and Prescott Country View. She married Joe Elliott in July of 1978. Eunice enjoyed gardening and flowers, arrowhead hunting, painting and giving painting lessons. She also had a love for music and poetry. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Donald "Frog" Michael, a sister, Dixie Allen and a grandson, Aaron Alexander. She is survived by her husband Joe of Mound City, two sons, Jim Alexander and Gloria of Panama City, Florida, Kevin Alexander and Janice of Mound City, three daughters, Vickie Robinson and John of Mound City, Kim Alexander of Gardner, Kansas, Tina Maxwell and Tom of Gardner, two brothers, Everett "Mike" Michael, David Michael, sisters, Carlene Alexander, and Eloise Steege and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Mound City. Burial will be in the Miami Cemetery.
