Emma Sue White, age 85, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Saturday May 12, 2012. She was born on November 29, 1926 at Thomas County, Georgia the daughter of J.H. and Ara Smith Tinsley. She graduated from high school and joined the United States Army. She folded parachutes during World War II. She was a member of the Bakery and Confectionery Union and worked as a wrapper at Hostess Cakes in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell White, and a daughter Theresa Patterson. She is survived by her husband Charles, sons: Clint White, Tim, Tom and Ted Lewis, daughters: Laura Matthews, Kathy Reed, Lorena Evans and Linda Shaw, and several grand, great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday May 16, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service on Wednesday. The family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society Children's Fund, c/o Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O.
