Eldon Terry

Eldon "Jiggs" Terry, age 70, Olathe, Kansas died Saturday June 13, 2009. He was born on November 30, 1938 at LaCygne, Kansas the son of Harold Clayton and Donnalee Veda Mielke Terry. He graduated from LaCygne High School in 1956. He was an Army Veteran for two years, one month, and twenty-six days. He was married to Glenda Showalter on November 13, 1986. Jiggs was a member of the LaCygne Christian Church, Elevator Constructors Union Local #12, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Mirza Temple, and American Legion. He enjoyed helping coach baseball and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Glenda of the home, son Doug Terry of the New Lancaster area, daughter Shala Graeve and husband Chuck of Omaha, Nebraska, brothers Keith Terry and wife Dottie of Kansas City, Missouri and Alan Terry and wife Jane of Rochelle, Illinois, a sister Joyce Hewitt of Chanute, Kansas, two stepsons, Lonnie and David Pannell, and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday June 17, 2009 at the LaCygne Christian Church. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in LaCygne. The family suggests contributions to the Olathe Hospice in care of Coffel-Schneider, P.O.
