Edward Shortall

Edward F. Shortall, 84, of Fontana, Kansas, died December 27, 2007 at his home. He was born September 11, 1923 in Perry, Kansas, the son of Martin and Catherine Doyle Shortall. He moved to Linn County in 1932 and graduated from Pleasanton High School with the class of 1941. He also attended St. Benedict's College for one year. The family moved to Cadmus in 1944. Ed served in the Army in World War II. After returning home, he was self-employed in farming. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mound City, Kansas. He was never married. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joseph and John. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 31, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mound City, Kansas. A rosary will be held at 10:30 AM at the church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
