Edward Shomaker

Edward Dale "Eddie" Shomaker, 68, of Mound City, Kansas died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at his home. He was born June 27, 1943 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Ellsworth Leroy and Catherine Laverne Skinner Shomaker. Eddie was self-employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting and working on cars. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard and Howard Shomaker and two sisters, Georgetta Kluge and Glenda Herbst. Survivors include two sons; Jeremy Shomaker of Kansas City, Kansas and Brian Shomaker of Macon, Missouri; one daughter, Dalelene Richardson of Salina, Kansas; two sisters, Gleness Kluge and husband, Kurt and Sharon Potter, both of Mound City, Kansas; a sister-in-law, Connie Shomaker also of Mound City, Kansas; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Cremation. Amemorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City, Kansas. Inurnment will be in the Woodland Cemetery, Mound City.
