Edward Floyd "Ed" Maloney, age 95, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024. He was born on October 14, 1928 in Adrian, Missouri the son of Thomas and Dorothy Stucki Maloney. He graduated from Adrian High School. He served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean War earning a bronze star. He was united in marriage to Genevieve Cornett on January 1, 1954. He was employed as a John Deere mechanic most of his working career. He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother, George Maloney, and three sisters, Helen Murrow, Betty Koch, and May Sarson. Ed is survived by his wife, Genevieve, four sons, Edward Maloney and wife Iva, Gary Maloney and wife Deanna, Joe Maloney, and John Maloney and wife Dawna, three sisters, Mary Hubbard, Dorothy Noel, and Gail Ezell, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Funeral service will be held 10 am Friday, July 19, 2024 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Mound City Chapel. Burial will be in the Curry Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, at the Mound City Chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to Linn County Care to Share.
