Edward Hamel

Edward Logan Hamel, 72, of Hume, Missouri, died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Freeman Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. He was born February 22, 1933 in Marion, Illinois, the son of John Dewey and Edith Ellen Hamel. He married Janice Sue Wampler on June 1, 1954 at Phoenix City, Alabama. She preceded him in death on January 30, 2004. He was self employed as a welder and served as president of the Henry Township Board. Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janice; one brother, Bill Hamel and one sister, Lucille Hill. Survivors include two sons; John Hamel of Hume, Missouri and James Richard Hamel of Kansas City, Kansas; two daughters, Janice Carter of Hume, Missouri and Vickey Shirley of Columbia, Missouri; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
