Edna Russell

Edna Mae Russell, age 97 of Prescott, Kansas, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Mercy Hospital at Fort Scott, Kansas. Edna had lived at the Prescott Country View Nursing Home since 2001. She was born September 24, 1912 in Vernon County, Missouri the daughter of Ray and Lucy Anderson. She married Malcolm G. Russell on December 24, 1949 at Kansas City, Missouri he preceded her in death in 1985, also preceding her in death is a daughter; Helen Payne in 1996, a son; Danny Russell in 2009, three brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter; Virginia "Jenny" Hall and husband Joe, of Mound City, Kansas, a grandson Michael McMillan, St Joseph, Missouri, Three great-grandsons; Joseph McMillan, Raytown, Missouri, Bobby McMillan, Lavista, Nebraska, and James McMillan, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, one great-great grandson, Andrew McMillan, and several nieces and nephews. Edna was such a sweet and loving wife, mother, and grandmother- we miss you and love you. We would like to express our appreciation to Prescott Country View Nursing Home for the tender loving, care she received while there. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Prescott Country View Nursing Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Thursday April 22, 2010 at the Park Lawn Cemetery Kansas City, Missouri.
