Edna E. Probasco, age 84, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Prescott Country View. She was born on May 31, 1931 at Prescott, Kansas the daughter of Vernon and Myrtle Steele Wallace. She served her country in the WAC, Women''s Air Corp. She married Francis Mack Probasco on October 12, 1958 at Prescott, Kansas. He preceded her in death on August 28, 1993. She worked as a cook in nursing homes and the Pleasanton School District. Edna was a member of the Pleasanton United Methodist Church, U.M.W., V.F.W. and the Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Slater, four brothers: Harold, Harvey, Roland and Vernon Wallace, and three sisters: Florence, LaVern, and Erma. She is survived by one son, Wallace Mack Probasco, one brother, Raymond Wallace, a sister, Frances "Aldean" Rogers, four grand and several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Pleasanton United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Church or American Cancer Society.
