Edith Wade

Edith P. Wade, age 90, La Cygne, Kansas passed away on Monday November 12, 2012. She was born on January 18, 1923 at La Cygne, Kansas the daughter of Frank B. and Mattie H. Dum Rogers. She graduated from La Cygne High School. She married Paul Wade on October 4, 1941. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2011. Edith worked at several different jobs including: school cook, city clerk, bus driver and pizza maker at Casey''s. She had held board positions at the La Cygne United Methodist Church and the Oak Lawn Cemetery. She was the last of eight children. Those preceding were: Le Roy, Jay, Rosie, Fern, Lois, and Velma. She is survived by her son Jim Wade, grand daughter Shelly, four great grandchildren: Amanda, Megan, Riley, and Ashley, and one great great grandson, Mason. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, LaCygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
