Edith Pearl McClintic, 84, of LaCygne, Kansas died May 21, 2011 at Olathe, Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. She was born November 29, 1926 in Fontana, Kansas, the daughter of Albert and Edith Hay Eastwood. She was married to Lenard Long and to this union four children were born. She was later married to Bill McClintic who preceded her in death on December 19, 2007. She worked as a librarian for the LaCygne Library prior to her retirement. She was a member of the LaCygne Christian Church, a 4-H leader, Sunday School teacher and member of the Christian Church Bell Choir. She was preceded in death also by one sister, Viola Rhynerson. Survivors include one son, Jerry Long; three daughters, Judy Patterson, Joy Saxton and Jo Ann Burtness & Norm; three step children; a brother, Albert Eastwood; a sister, Ruth Brocker Grandchildren; Daryn Hemerson, Lindsay Brown, Trevin Saxton, Michael Long, Mallory Long and Kila Saxton; two great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brown and Mitchell Long and five step grandchildren. Services were held at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at the LaCygne Christian Church, LaCygne, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Edith Pearl Memorial Garden Fund. Interment will be in the Fontana Cemetery, Fontana, Kansas.
