Edward Allen "Ed" Maki, 65, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Miami County Medical Center, Paola, Kansas. He was born December 11, 1945 in Amarillo, Texas, the son of Edward and Virginia Maki. He married Kathy Williams on April 17, 1971 at Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2008. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness of Butler, Missouri. Ed collected scrap metal and enjoyed taking care of animals and children. He was preceded in death also by his parents. Survivors include four sons; Carl Maki of Adrian, Missouri; Curtis & Mark Maki, both of Highland, California and David Ross & Brenda of Olathe, Kansas; one daughter, Laura Smith & Troy of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother, Ronnie Maki of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Debbie Keyes of Arizona; and seven grandchildren; Dylan, Bryan, Jordyn, C.J. and Kyle Maki; Felicia Mincks and Isaac Weidemier. Cremation Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 PM, Saturday, September 24th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, Butler, Missouri.
