Earnest Mcgee

Earnest Earl McGee, age 80, Mound City, Kansas died Saturday December 29, 2007 at the Olathe Medical Center. He was born at Blue Mound, Kansas on September 11, 1927 the son of Warren and Elsie Morrell McGee. He graduated from Blue Mound High School and married LaVerne Lamb on June 27, 1948 in the Wall Street Church. Memberships include the Wall Street Church where he had served as an elder and on numerous boards. He was also on the Linn County Fair Board, Centerville Township Board, 4 H leader, and a member of the American Angus Association. He was preceded in death by one brother Richard McGee. He is survived by his wife LaVerne of the home, two sons Marion McGee and Theresa of Blue Mound, Kansas, Ronald McGee and Valerie of Yates Center, Kansas, a daughter Marsha Daves of Thurmont, Maryland, two brothers, Wallace McGee of Kincaid, Kansas and Leonard McGee of Purdy, Missouri, a sister Ada Gray of Mission, Kansas and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday January 3, 2008 at the Wall St Church. Burial will be in the Sunny Slope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 PM Wednesday January 2, 2008 at the Wall St Church. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
