Dorothy Purdy

Dorothy Purdy, age 69 of Mound City, Kansas died Tuesday April 7, 2009 at Life Care in Osawatomie, Kansas. She was born June 24, 1939 in Centerville, Kansas the daughter of Galveston and Dorothy Hall Cornett. She was a graduate of Mound City High School and she attended the Baptist Church. She married Robert Purdy on December 28, 1956 in Mound City, Kansas. She worked at Sugar Valley and Country View Nursing Homes, Big Dollar, and other jobs in the Mound City area. She was preceded in death by both parents and a sister Wanda Purdy. She is survived by her husband Bob of Mound City, Kansas, a son Rocky Purdy of Mound City, Kansas, two sisters; Genevieve Maloney of Pleasanton, Kansas and Patsy Burleson of Kansas City, Missouri, and a grandson Chad Purdy of Mound City, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday April 10, 2009 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in Mound City, Kansas. Burial will be in the Woodland Cemetery in Mound City Kansas.
