Donnie Lee Fultz, age 68, currently of Mound City, Kansas, native of Pleasanton, Kansas died Saturday November 14, 2009. He was born on December 31, 1940 at Fort Scott, Kansas the son of Willis and Ethel Graham Fultz. He graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1958 and attended Pittsburg State Teacher's College. He served in the Army National Guard. Donnie was united in marriage to Connie Umphenour June 24, 1962 at the Christian Church in Pleasanton, Kansas. Donnie worked for Kansas City Power and Light prior to retirement. He started in the early 1960's working as a lineman and retired from management in the mid 1990's. For several years, he also ran the Kansas Field and Gun Dog Club. After retirement, he and wife Connie have enjoyed time together taking care of their livestock and farm. Donnie was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his wife Connie of the home, one son Darrin Fultz and Tracy of Prescott, Kansas, daughter Carla Bartels and David of Overland Park, Kansas and three grandchildren, Morgan, Breanna and Jordan Bartels. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday November 17, 2009 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in Pleasanton, Kansas. Burial will be in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 PM Monday November 16, 2009 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Burn Foundation at the University of Kansas Medical Center c/o, Coffel-Schneider Chapel, P.O. Box 525, Pleasanton, Kansas 66075.
