Donald Harvey

Donald L. Harvey, 82, of Mound City, Kansas, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Miami County Medical Center, Paola, Kansas. He was born March 17, 1927 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Charles and Esther Hill Harvey. He was married to Norma Jean Keener on August 6, 1972 at Las Vegas, Nevada. Donald was employed as a hair stylist and owned and operated Mr. Harvey's House of Style. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mound City and past president of the Hairdresser's Association. Survivors include his wife, Jean of the home; one son, Michael Harvey, one daughter, Donna Anthony, one stepson, Bill Oyer; three step daughters, Vicky Bates, Ann Brumley and Deborah Raines; fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mr. Harvey was cremated. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Mound City, Kansas. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. Contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church, Mound City.
