Donald Lee Alumbaugh, age 66, of Mound City, Kansas passed away at his home on Monday, July 9, 2018. Don was born on October 17, 1951 the son of Elmer and Reva Juanita Fleming Alumbaugh at Hutchinson, Kansas. Don was retired, but had worked at Niece Products where he designed and sold water tanks that were used in mining and construction. He had great hands on skills, you could say he was a jack of all trades. He loved attending street rod shows, riding dune buggies in his younger days with his daughter, but his love and passion was rebuilding street rods. Don was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mound City. He married Mary Bowden to this union a daughter Tina was born. He later married Kathy Bevier on September 30, 1995 at Lake of the Forest in Bonner Springs, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Meadows. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, daughter, Tina Smith and husband, Rod, Gardner, Kansas, stepson, Brian Gilhousen and wife, Cayce, Kansas City, Missouri, a brother, Bill Alumbaugh and wife, Shirley, Hutchinson, Kansas, a sister, Melinda Huff, Wellsville, Kansas, three grandchildren, Quentin, Erin and Ashley, and three great grandchildren, Macen, Kasen and Bryden. Memorial Service will be at 11 am, Thursday, July 12 at the First Baptist Church Mound City. Visitation will be from 10 am to service time, Thursday, July 12 at the church. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to First Baptist Church Mound City and may be sent in c/o Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory P.O.
