Dennis Mccarty

Dennis James McCarty, age 77, Mound City, Kansas died Wednesday September 22, 2010 at the Olathe Medical Center in Olathe, Kansas. He was born on March 15, 1933 in Kansas City, Kansas the son of Walter and Dolores Wood McCarty. He worked as a carpenter before retirement and was a member of the Carpenters Union Local # 168. He married Lila Baldwin on January 19, 1958 in Kansas City, Kansas. Dennis enjoyed working as a carpenter, liked to fish and cherished the time he spent with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald McCarty, two sisters, Sharon Tavis and Beverly Hurd and one granddaughter, Christina, and a foster son Robert Troyer. He is survived by his wife Lila of the home, three sons: Walter McCarty of Mound City, Thomas McCarty of Kansas City, Missouri, and Dennis McCarty of Windsor, Missouri; two daughters, Sheila Stotler and Denise Zimmerman both of Mound City, eleven grand and 3 great grandchildren. The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 PM Sunday September 26, 2010 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in Mound City, Kansas.
