Delmer Cox

Delmer Jesse Cox, age 28 of Blue Mound, Kansas died Wednesday July, 21, 2010 at his home. Jesse was born on October 20, 1981 at Olathe Community Hospital Olathe, Kansas. He was the son of George Earl Cox and Christine Helen Ferguson. Jesse was born with Cerebral Palsy. He was a strong fighter and managed to live nearly 29 years. His extraordinary mother gave him medical care his entire life. Also, a special thank you is given to Jesse's nurse, Cathy Aurand. Jesse was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by three brother; Joseph H. Ferguson, Blue Mound, Kansas, John "Buck" Ortego of Shawnee, Kansas and Mi chael Ortego of Osawatomie, Kansas, maternal grandfather, Delmer H. Ferguson, one uncle Henry V. Ferguson and wife Sally of LaCygne, Kansas and one aunt, Darlene L. Ferguson Cox and husband Wayne of LaCygne. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday July 23, 2010 at the Curry Cemetery near Mound City, Kansas.
