Dawn Curry

Dawn Marie Curry, 48, of La Cygne, Kansas, died at University of Kansas Hospital on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.  Dawn was born October 7, 1973 in Carthage, Missouri to Johnny Dale and Dorothy Marie (Hays) Curry.  Dawn graduated from Prairie View High School with the Class of 1991.  She was an outgoing person who enjoyed visiting with her many friends in La Cygne whether at Calvary Baptist Church where she was a member, the Library where she spent many hours, or playing cards, games or Bingo with friends.  Dawn also enjoyed her Hello Kitty and Lighthouse collections.  Dawn was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Curry and Dorothy Erhart, and one nephew, Kyle Paul Stevens.

Survivors include her brother, Rocky Lynn Bullock and his wife Debra; her sister, Rhonda L. Stevens; three nephews, Todd Green, Kevin Stevens, Chancellor Stevens; two nieces, Tiffany Green and Hannah Bullock;two great-nephews, Brec Green and Daniel Waggoner; two great-nieces, Kaylinn Waggoner and Harper Stevens; one great-great-niece, Raylynn Hobbs; and many, many friends.

A memorial service will be on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 6:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church, La Cygne, KS.  Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until service time.  The family suggests contributions to Dawn Curry Memorial Fund or Calvary Baptist Church in care of Schneider Funeral Home, PO Box 304, La Cygne, Kansas 66040.  Friends and family may leave online condolences at www.schneiderfunerals.com.  Arrangements: Schneider Funeral Homes & Crematory, La Cygne Chapel.
