Daryl Berglund

Daryl Wallace Berglund, 89, of Stilwell, Kansas, died Monday, August 27, 2007 at Overland Park Regional Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas. He was born July 25, 1918 in Valentine, Nebraska, the son of Herman and Myrtle Elliott Berglund. He was a graduate of Shawnee Mission High School. Daryl married Margaret King who survives him. He was self-employed in farming and dairy farming. He was a member of the Stanley Bible Church. He enjoyed coon hunting and mule riding. He was preceded in death by one brother, John Berglund, two sisters, Phyllis Berglund and Carlene Woodson and a granddaughter, Sherry Smith. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons, David Berglund and Pat of LaCygne, Kansas and Tim Berglund and Carol of Gretna, Nebraska; one sister, Norma Crane; grandchildren, Kellie Christie, Robbie, Steve Berglund & Susan, Paula Caldwell & Alec and Lisa Meyer & Bryan and great grandchildren, Mallory Smith, Katie and Jacob Berglund, Wesley and Elaine Caldwell and Molly Meyer. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the Stanley Bible Church, Stanley, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the church. Contributions are suggested to the Stanley Bible Church.
