Dale Lawhead

Dale Edmond Lawhead, age 85 passed away Saturday August 23, 2008 at his home near Parker, Kansas. He was born on November 11, 1922 at LaCygne, Kansas the son of Ed and Ella Cox Lawhead. He graduated from LaCygne High School and was an Army Veteran serving his country in WW II. Dale married Eileen Creager on January 18, 1945 at Paola, Kansas. She preceded him in death on December 12, 1999. Dale's passions were family, friends and farming. He is survived by his son Dr Jeff Lawhead of Olathe, Kansas, and daughter, Jennifer Waggoner and husband Brad of Paola, Kansas. The family is grateful to Sunflower Healthcare for all of the love and support throughout Dale's brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday August 26, 2008 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in LaCygne, Kansas. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will beheld from 6:30 to 8 PM Monday at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in LaCygne. The family suggests contributions to Sunflower Healthcare in care of Coffel-Schneider, P.O.
