Connie Kay Higgins, 76, of Mound City, Kansas, died peacefully April 30, 2016. Connie was born June 7, 1939, in Mulberry, Kansas to Connie and Hazel (Brand) McClendon. Connie was united in marriage to James E. Higgins on June 6, 1959 at Sacred Heart Church in Mound City, Kansas. In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by children Valerie (Jerry), Joanna, Shaun (Jeffrey), Brian (Jo) and Bridget. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lisa. The family is planning a private memorial service at a later date with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Mound City, Kansas.
