Cole Fortman

Cole Austin Fortman, age 34, Pleasanton, Kansas passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He was born on February 15, 1982 at Kansas City, Kansas the son of Benjamin and Melanie Ross Fortman. He graduated from Pleasanton High School. He worked for Conley Sales, in the construction industry, and was most recently employed by Wes''s Recycling. Cole was recently united in marriage to Nikki Meyer. He enjoyed all things outdoors. These included hunting, fishing, flying drones and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Nikki, son, Brylan Fortman, daughter, Hailei Fortman, mother, Melanie Quinn, brothers, Justin Fortman and wife Julie, and Jimmie Quinn Jr, a sister, Stacy Lloyd and husband Kyle, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the Pleasanton First Baptist Church. Burial in the Pleasanton Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Cole Fortman Memorial Fund.
