Clanton Laverack

Clanton "Tony" Laverack, age 90 of Pleasanton, Kansas died Tuesday June 23, 2009 at Fort Scott, Kansas. He was born on April 29, 1919 at Kansas City, Kansas the son of Walter and Sue Anne Smith Laverack. Tony graduated from Argentine High School and served in WWII with the Untied States Army. He married Edythe Crossley at Liberty, Missouri. Tony worked as a Laborer for many years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Jeanni Scott. Survivors include his wife; Edythe of Pleasanton, Kansas, two sons; Rusty Laverack of Torrington, Wyoming and Rick Laverack of LaCygne, Kansas, a daughter April Bricker of Adrian, Missouri, a sister; Arlene McGinley, 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:00 Am Saturday June 27, at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in LaCygne, Kansas. Visitation will be held Friday June 26, at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in LaCygne, Kansas. Tony will be cremated after the service and a private family committal service will be held at a later date. The family suggests contributions to the Disabled Veterans.
