Charles Mead

Charles Thomas "Chuck" Mead, 63, of Prescott, Kansas, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Olathe Medical Center, Olathe, Kansas. He was born October 4, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of James and Ann Finch Mead. He married Peggy Jo Frakes on July 27, 1974. He was employed as a farrier and for a number of years he owned and operated Circle M Saddlery. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James, Bobby & Donny Mead. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jo of the home; two daughters, Jodi Morrison and Jamie Coltrane & Larry of Uniontown, Kansas; three sisters, Betty Messick, Barb Rains and Mary Engleton and four grandchildren, Kaleb, Kolby, Jordan and Sadye. Private family burial was held at the Fairview Cemetery, Fulton, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the Chuck Mead Memorial Fund.
