Charles R. Bell, age 93, Pleasanton, Kansas died Friday March 16, 2012. He was born on November 8, 1918 at Pleasanton the son of Ed and Alice Shadley Bell. He was an Army Veteran of WW II. He married Pauline Hoyt on August 10, 1946 at Fort Scott, Kansas. Together, they ran a dairy operation and raised other livestock. She preceded him in death on June, 9, 2006. Also preceding him in death were four brothers: Ernest "Pat", Ned and Jim Bell and Devon Shaffer, and three sisters: Thelma Haas, Elsie Bastek and Rebecca Speakes. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, and brother and sister in laws. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday March 21, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, LaCygne, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until service time at the chapel.
