Catherine Macbride

Catherine "Kate" Ann MacBride, age 62 of Mound City, Kansas died Monday December 26, 2011 at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on February 21, 1949 at Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of Virgil and Beryle Jean Hinds Dinneen. She was a 1967 graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School and then attended the Kansas City Art Institute. Kate worked as a rural mail carrier in the Mound city area, enjoyed raising and riding horses, and enjoyed painting water colors. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a sister Margaret Wieland and husband Dick of Wichita, Kansas a brother George Dinneen and wife Kristi of Peculiar, Missouri, and a nephew Matt Caldwell and wife Sara of Manhattan, Kansas. Per Kate's wishes she was cremated and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday December 31, 2011 at the Schneider Funeral Home Mound City Chapel. The family suggests contributions to Spay-Neuter Kansas or the Sacred Heart Catholic Church left in care of the Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box J Mound City, Kansas 66056.
