Carl Teagarden

Carl Joseph Teagarden age 79 of LaCygne, Kansas died Friday September 29, 2006 at Prescott Country View. He was born in rural LaCygne on April 7, 1927 the son of Ray I. and Margaret Payne Teagarden. He graduated from LaCygne High School in 1944. Carl was a member of the Christian Church in LaCygne, Masonic Lodge #61, Scottish Rite Consistory, Fort Scott, Mirza Temple, Pittsburg, serving as Potentate in 1969, Swan Manor Board, past 4H leader, and Linn County Fair Board. He was a farmer and stockman. He married Frances Good on June 13, 1948 at Amsterdam, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 8, 2002. He was also preceded in death by a son Glenn Ray Teagarden on June 8, 1977. He is survived by a son Joe Teagarden and wife Vicki of LaCygne; two grandsons, Scott Teagarden of Gardner, Kansas and Shawn Teagarden of LaCygne, two great grandsons Cooper and Carter Teagarden, and a sister Mildred Lemon of Parker, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday October 3, 2006 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in LaCygne. Burial will be in the Prairie Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 PM Monday at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home. The family suggests contributions to the Dr. Glenn Ray Teagarden Veterinary Medicine Scholarship Fund or the charity of one's choice.
