Brant Beckman

Branton Gerald Beckman, age 18, Mound City, Kansas died Saturday September 20, 2008 as the result of an accident. He was born on March 3, 1990 at Overland Park, Kansas the son of Rande and Paula Peterson Beckman. He graduated from Jayhawk Linn High School and was currently attending Fort Scott Community College. He was a member of Mound City First Baptist Church. Brant was employed at Neal Manufacturing when not in school. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and restoring old cars. He was preceded in death by his mother Paula on July 13, 1997. He is survived by his father Rande Beckman and Sharon, brothers, Brayton Beckman and Jared Kennedy & wife Kayla, sisters, Christina Chapman and husband Darick, and Ashley Kennedy, maternal grandparents, Velma and Jerry Peterson, paternal grandparents, Virginia and Bob McGee and Merle and Gloria Beckman, maternal step grandparents, Jerald and Lois Simons. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday September 23, 2008 at the Mound City First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Linnville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 PM Monday September 22, 2008 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in Mound City, Kansas.
