Bonnie Tolly

Bonnie Lou Tolly, age 94, La Cygne, Kansas passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022.  She was born on October 19, 1927 in Spokane, Washington, the daughter of Charley and Myrtle Fransen Kirk.  She was united in marriage to Lester Tolly on April 5, 1944 in Jay, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on November 14, 1990.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, Raymond Tolly, a brother, Stanley Kirk, a sister, Marie Grissom, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild.  Bonnie worked as a seamstress and was a baby sitter.  The two most important things in her life was her relation with Jesus and her family.  Bonnie kept her ornery spirit up until the very end.  She was a member of the New Life Baptist Church.  She enjoyed gardening, playing Scrabble, painting and sewing.  She made and donated lap throws, bibs, and baby clothes to any organization that was in need. Bonnie is survived by three sons, Jimmy (Deborah), Johnny (Marcia) and Lewis Tolly, two daughters, Glorianna (Everett) Ford, and Margaret Melendy, seventeen grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10 am Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the New Life Baptist Church, La Cygne, Kansas.  Burial will be in the Star Valley Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, La Cygne Chapel.  Memorial contributions are suggested to New Life Baptist Church.  Online condolences can be left at www.schneiderfunerals.com.
