Bonnie V. Patton flew into the arms of her heavenly loved ones on Aug. 24, 2022. This faith-filled, fun-loving, and family-cherishing woman entered this world on May 13, 1929, into the loving arms of her parents, Eli and Rosetta (Riley) Eilenstein. Her family included four sisters--Betty, Dalpha, Doris, and Shirlene; and three brothers--Clyde, David, and Austin. This happy, musical family worked hard on their farm near Lebanon, MO, and played hard when they could. Cattle, crops, and chickens populated Bonnie's childhood years.
After graduating from high school and at the age of 17, she married her lifelong love,Gene Patton. To this union, a son, Gary, and a daughter, Donieta, were born. The Pattons lived in Sedalia, Grandview, and Kansas City before building and moving to their lovely, welcoming home south of Hume. Here, cattle, deer, birds, and beautiful flower beds captured their hearts. After moving to this area, Bonnie became a member of the West Liberty United Methodist Church and the UMW. Both Bonnie and Gene added their musical talents to the church's programs for years.
Survivors include one son and wife, Gary and Twyla; one son-in-law, Jerold Davis; two sisters, Doris Breedlove and Shirlene Coffman; three grandchildren, Todd, Greg and Angie; and four great grandchildren, Riley, Rachel, Ashley and Ryan. Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; her daughter, Donieta Davis; her parents; her brothers, Clyde, David, and Austin; and her sisters, Betty and Delpha,
