Bonnie Barr

Bonnie Marie Barr, age 81, Mound City, Kansas died Friday April 27, 2012. She was born on June 25, 1930 at Iberia, Missouri the daughter of Ora Jasper and Martha Carolyn Waite Blankenship. She worked at Ted's Manufacturing for twenty-three years, but considered herself a homemaker. Bonnie married Radford Barr on February 7, 1947. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2010. Also preceding her was a son, Kenneth Barr and an infant sister. She was baptized in June of 1944 at Hickory Point Baptist Church where she was still a member. Bonnie enjoyed crafting, fishing, gardening and yard work. Bonnie is survived by two sons, Dennis Barr and Chris of Prescott, Kansas and Gerald, Jerry, Barr and Theresa of Mound City, a daughter Carolyn Barr of Pleasanton, Kansas, four brothers: Barry, Frank, Fred, and Dale Blankenship, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Pleasanton Chapel. Burial will be in the Fort Scott National Cemetery.
