Bobby Story

Bobby Dean Story, 81, of Mound City, Kansas, died Friday, December 28, 2007 at Life Care Center, Osawatomie, Kansas. He was born July 20, 1926 at Crescent, Oklahoma, the son of Samuel and LoRene Wright Story. He was married to Dorothy Wools on November 23, 1949 at Garnett, Kansas. Bobby was a farmer and had also worked for the City of Mound City, in the Linn County Sheriff's office as a jailer. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the United States Navy. He was a member of the Federated Church and American Legion Hewitt New Post #248 in Mound City. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Allen. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Mound City, Kansas, two daughters, Janet Sipes & Kenneth of Olathe, Kansas and Sandra Ross & Jerry of LaCygne, Kansas, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 31, 2007 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, Mound City. Contributions are suggested to the Federated Church.
