Bobbie Cheek

Bobbie B. Cheek, 82, of Fontana, formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, died Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Miami County Medical Center, Paola, Kansas. He was born April 18, 1925 in Clay County, Missouri, the son of Orval S. and Nina B. Kelley Cheek. He worked in real estate in California, prior to retirement. He also retired from the military, serving with the United States Navy and Coast Guard. He was a lover of horses and a lifetime member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a sister, Betty Jones ; nieces, Sharon Jewett and Linda Bartlett, all of Fontana, Kansas. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kearney, Missouri. A memory service will be held at 7:00 PM, Wednesday, at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel, LaCygne, Kansas. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.coffelschneider.com.
