Birdie Schulenberg

Birdie Isabelle Schulenberg, age 89, of LaCygne, Kansas died Tuesday August 31, 2010 at the Bates County Medical Center. She was born January 3, 1921 in Miami County, Kansas the daughter of William and Laura Morris Craven. She was married to Orville Schulenberg. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1972. Also preceding her was a brother Homer Craven, and two sisters; Ellen Christie and Elsie White. She is survived by two sons; Bill Craven of LaCygne, Kansas and Orville Schulenberg Jr. of Mound City, Kansas, one daughter, Wilma Cowley of Butler, Missouri; seven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM, Saturday September 4, 2010 at the Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home in LaCygne, Kansas. Burial will be in the Jingo Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the Coffel-Scheider Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the New Life Baptist Church.
