Betty Haggard

Betty A. Haggard, age 85, Drexel, Missouri passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2013. She was born on March 22, 1928 at Sedalia, Missouri the daughter of Doyle and Nettie Ward Varner. She worked for many years in the grocery business. She was preceded in death by three husbands: Glen Feighner, William Ferguson, and Gordon Haggard. Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Joyce Nolan and a sister Mary Ann Irwin. Betty was a member of the Drexel United Methodist Church, Lion's Club, she enjoyed playing bridge and was an accomplished seamstress. She is survived by her daughter Linda Evans and son in law John, granddaughters Heather Williams and Desiree Garcia, grandson Sean Evans and wife Erin, and great grandchildren Ashley, Cole, J.P. and Becca, and two sisters, Ann Steinmetz and Joy Davis. Memorial service will be held 11 AM Saturday August 17, 2013 at the Drexel United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in the Louisburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to service time at the church. The family suggests contributions to the Drexel United Methodist Church.
