Betty James Bullock, age 84, LaCygne, Kansas passed away Wednesday August 29, 2012 at her home in LaCygne. She was born January 19, 1928 at Tulsa, Oklahoma the daughter of Aerial Dal and Lilly Olive Kennedy Hemphill. She had been employed as a clerk with Wal Mart. She was a member of the New Lancaster United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star Swan Chapter 311, and was involved with the Eastern Kansas Area Agency on Aging, LaCygne Park Board and the Swan Valley Quilt Club. She was preceded in death by two husbands, William D. James and James Chester Bullock, and a son, Dal O''Bryant. She is survived by her children: Mike James(Debbie), Kathryn Cook(Michael), Patsy Hinson(Ron), Edith James-Goodenough(Joe), Susie Clearwater( Gary), Sid Bullock(Beverly), Jonelle Shanks, Susie Rea(Will), brother Fred Goldman, a sister, Billie Jane Waggie and numerous grand and great grandchildren. Graveside funeral service will be held 3 PM Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Jingo Cemetery near LaCygne. Eastern Star service will be 5 PM Saturday followed by visitation until 7 PM at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, LaCygne Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Area Agency on Aging, c/o Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 304, LaCygne, KS 66040.
