Bernard Ford

Bernard Edward Ford, 85, of Linn Valley, Kansas died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Delmar Gardens, Lenexa, Kansas. He was born May 23, 1920 in Lamar, Texas, the son of George and Mary Schlusher Ford. He married Viola Vaughn on February 28, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He worked as a mattress maker in the bedding industry after serving in the Army Air Corp. He was a charter member of the Linn Valley Community Church. He was preceded in death by wife, Viola on December 11, 2000, a brother, Curtis Ford and 2 sisters, Edith Bush and Eva Burnett. Survivors include a brother-in-law, J.W. Vaughn and lifelong friends, Ben and Audrey Roebuck, 8 nephews and one niece. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 18, 2006 at the Linn Valley Community Church, Linn Valley, Kansas. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. Contributions are suggested to the Linn Valley Community Church Music Department. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery, Mound City, Kansas.
