Bernard Cohee

Bernard Lee (Barney) Cohee, age 92, of Brainerd, Minnesota, formerly of Linn County, passed away on June 12, 2012. He was born on December 31, 1919 at Blair, Oklahoma the son of Edward and Juliann Cox Cohee. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II serving his country for five and one- half years. He spent most of his working career in the General Service Administration as a contractor and inspector for the United States Government. He lived with his parents and sisters in Blair, Oklahoma, Independence, Missouri, Stanley, Kansas, Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Lee's Summit, Missouri and finally at Brainerd. He was a member of the American Legion, loved to coach baseball, fish and restore antiques, which he did for seventeen years after retirement. He was preceded in death by two sons, Edward and Leonard. He is survived by a son, Steve Cohee, daughter, Linda Cohee, sister, Della Wade, and nine grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 PM Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, LaCygne Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
