Arlene VanDeBerghe, 81, of Pleasanton, Kansas, died Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. She was born January 15, 1925 in Boicourt, Kansas, the daughter of Guy Otto & Alice Pearl Gentry White. She married Henry VandeBerghe who preceded her in death. Also preceding her were her twin brother, Dean and brothers, Roy and Everett. She was the last of her immediate family. She was a fifty year member of the Order of Eastern Star at Fort Scott, Kansas. Arlene was a waitress in numerous restaurants including Pleasanton, Fort Scott and in the Kansas City area. She has resided in the Pleasanton area since 1971. Arlene is survived by a host of friends. At Arlene's request, she was cremated. Graveside Memorial Service were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2006 at the Pleasanton Cemetery, Pleasanton, Kansas. Contributions are suggested to the Pleasanton Senior Citizens or Pleasanton Cemetery.
